According to Dermalogica’s site, this deep-cleansing clay formula purified oily skin. It is primarily produced from water-soluble Kaolin and Green clays in addition to Sambucus, Lemon and Ivy extracts that work to remove excess oil from the skin’s surface to help give a better complexion to users. Cucumber, Mentol, and Safe soothe and refresh the skin, perfect for that first-thing-in-the-morning cleanse.

Dermalogica Dermal Clay Cleanser: The Good and the Bad
The best things about Dermalogica are that it has been proven to successfully clean the skin deep into the pores and reduce facial grease. Essentially, it is every oily skinned girls dream in a bottle. It has completely safe and all-natural effective products. Another big pro is that it is Dermalogica, a really trusted and respected brand in the industry that does their research in the labs to create skin perfecting formulas without fragrance or coloring. The formula is also really geared towards those suffering from inflammation and rednesses in an organic way. The only downside to this product is the price, which is kind of insane for just 8.4 oz of product. With a daily cleanser, you are suppose to use it everyday, maybe even twice a day this could end up costing you $36 monthly. Whew!
How to Use The Cleanser?
Apply Dermalogica’s formula to the dampened face and throat massaging it in with light, upward strokes. Be sure to focus on the T-zone or any other problem areas like the chin or forehead. Rinse completely with warm water and follow up with Dermalogica’s Multi-Active Toner and moisturizer.
Should you buy this product?
If you have very oily skin and that is your main skin woe, this could definitely be a huge help and is worth the investment. For users with combination or dry skin, I don’t imagine this is worth the money. Get a clay mask and a drug store cleanser for your skin type. The other issue with Dermalogica and other brands like it is that unless you are purchasing their entire skin care system stand alone products only go so far. You need to be using their toner and moisturizer to fully benefit.
