Eating a regulated dose of fish every week reduces the risk of heart disease and increases the chances of survival after a heart attack. Fish oil is also known to reduce the “stickiness” of the blood, limiting its tendency to clot.

Serotonin helps the mind stay more optimistic and happier, decreasing the instances of depression and lower mood swings. In children, the risk of asthma can be greatly reduced if given a regular diet of fish. Fish is rich in protein, making up for a lot of nutritious components required during the growing stages.
Eating fish helps limit the risk of high blood pressure. Therefore, the chances of developing Dementia or Alzheimer’s are greatly reduced. The brain cells will suffer lesser risk of damage due to the presence of polyunsaturated fatty acid in most kinds of fish.
